Welding Features and Recommendations from EV Group China
To ensure maximum weld integrity when working with Alloy 617 B, it is critically important to avoid contact with carbon steels. EV Group China recommends using only specialized stainless steel tools. Optimal welding methods include TIG and MIG/MAG with pulse mode. FM 617 B (ERNiCrCoMo-1) should be used as filler material. To prevent degradation of the alloy's properties, heat input should be kept to a minimum, with mandatory control of the interpass temperature not exceeding 120°C.
Application
Alloy 617 B from EV Group China is an exemplary choice for the manufacture of critical piping systems, fittings, and heat exchange equipment operating in aggressive environments at ultra-high temperatures. Its unique characteristics ensure reliability and durability in the most demanding industrial applications.
