We bring rolled metal from China. Not off a warehouse shelf in Russia, but for a specific customer requirement: we pick the grade and the size, find the mill, vet it and run the deal all the way to the buyer's warehouse.
EV Steel Group Limited is incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622). The Hong Kong jurisdiction is not there to look good in the company details. It makes settlements with Chinese suppliers and work under international contracts easier.
What we take on
Importing metal is not simply «found it and bought it». Between the enquiry and the unloading there are a dozen steps, and money can be lost at every one of them. We close all of them:
- Supplier search and audit. We check the mill before the contract, not after the prepayment.
- Turnkey purchasing and import agent. We take the deal on ourselves if you have no foreign-trade department of your own.
- Payment agent. Settlements with the Chinese side.
- Inspection and quality control. We look at the batch before shipment, not on acceptance in Russia.
- Warehouse consolidation. We combine orders from different mills into one shipment.
- Customs clearance and logistics. Delivery and clearance.
- Chestny ZNAK marking, branding and private label. If the goods go to retail under your own brand.
How a supply runs
The customer sends the product range, we come back with a calculation: price, lead time, possible grades. Then we pick the mill and vet it. Once it is agreed, we prepare the contract, handle the payment, inspect the batch before shipment and hand it over to logistics. Customs clearance and delivery to your warehouse are on us too.
Why we talk so much about standards
Chinese metal lives by GB standards. Europe counts in EN and DIN, the USA in ASTM. And the customer in Russia thinks in GOST. A mistake in matching grades gives you a batch that does not fit mechanically or chemically, and an argument about whose fault that is.
That is why we have put a standards reference on the site: DIN, ASTM, EN, ISO, GB, JIS, API, ASME and other families, about 3,700 pages. We use it ourselves when matching equivalents and we opened it up for everyone. The site works in Russian, English, Chinese and Spanish, so that we speak one language with both the mill and the customer.
