Inconel 601 (UNS N06601) is a nickel-chromium heat-resistant alloy, alloyed with aluminum, designed for operation under critically high temperatures. A key feature of the material is its outstanding microstructural stability during prolonged thermal exposure and cyclic thermal loads, which prevents embrittlement and maintains operational characteristics.

The Russian GOST 5632 standard provides a functional analogue - the precision alloy grade KhN60Yu, which possesses a similar complex of operational properties.

The presence of aluminum in the composition ensures the formation of a strong and adherent oxide film, which protects the alloy from high-temperature oxidation up to 1250 °C. Chromium provides resistance to corrosive processes in oxidizing environments. Microstructural control, achieved through a precise balance of alloying elements, guarantees the preservation of a fine-grained structure and, as a consequence, high mechanical strength during prolonged operation under elevated temperatures.

Rolled products made of Inconel 601 alloy, supplied by EV Group China, are critically important materials for the production of industrial furnace components, including muffles, retorts, and conveyor belts. It is also used in the construction of thermal reactors, parts of gas turbine engine combustion chambers, and fastening elements in power equipment operating at extreme temperatures.

Corrosion Resistance and Weldability

According to DIN EN 10095 classification, the alloy is classified as a heat-resistant material. It demonstrates excellent resistance to carburization and nitriding in appropriate environments. The alloy is well weldable by all standard arc welding methods (TIG, MIG, MMA). To ensure equal strength of the weld seam, EV Group China recommends using welding materials with a comparable chemical composition, such as ERNiCr-3 wire or ENiCrFe-3 electrodes.

Advantages of EV Group China Products

  • Exceptional resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion in sulfur-containing atmospheres.
  • Retention of mechanical strength and creep resistance at temperatures up to 1200 °C.
  • High resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride and alkaline environments.
  • Full compliance with ASTM, ASME, and W.Nr. specifications for use in critically important assemblies.

Key Industrial Application Areas
