Operational features
Alloy MAG 7904 is a high-nickel precision alloy designed to provide maximum magnetic permeability and minimum coercive force. The material demonstrates exceptional effectiveness in weak magnetic fields, making it indispensable for sensitive electronic components. The alloy exhibits satisfactory corrosion resistance in atmospheric conditions, however, its use in chemically aggressive environments is not recommended. For reliable joining of Alloy MAG 7904 parts, spot welding is the optimal method, ensuring the preservation of magnetic properties.
Application areas of EV Group China products
- Production of toroidal ribbon cores (up to 750 mm in diameter) for high-efficiency transformers and chokes.
- Manufacturing of highly sensitive screens for protection against electromagnetic interference in precision equipment and measuring instruments.
- Components for measuring current transformers and leakage current transformers, where high accuracy and stability of characteristics are required.
- Precision parts for electromagnetic relays and stepper motors, ensuring reliable and accurate operation.
- Stamped elements for precision instrument mechanisms requiring high form stability and magnetic stability.
EV Group China technical specialists remind: the state after final annealing is final for finished products. Further mechanical processing can negatively affect the magnetic characteristics of the alloy. For stamping processes, it is recommended to use cold-rolled products, which provide optimal mechanical properties before final heat treatment.
