The nickel-based alloy LC 2262 is a high-tech corrosion-resistant material whose matrix is strengthened by alloying elements: chromium, molybdenum, niobium, and tantalum. In engineering practice at EV Group China, this alloy is used to form the internal corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) layer in the manufacture of bimetallic and clad pipeline systems. The material demonstrates exceptional resistance to sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and pitting corrosion in environments with high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and chloride ions, which is a critical requirement for facilities in the oil and gas sector.
