Flowrox Valve Design and Materials: Focus on Wear Resistance

Flowrox valves are designed for precise flow control of hydromixtures, pulps, sludges, and other media with a high concentration of abrasive solid inclusions. Design solutions ensure a tightness class of "A", minimize hydraulic losses, and guarantee high resistance to corrosive processes. The bodies are made of structural carbon and corrosion-resistant stainless steels, while the main working element — the elastic hose (sleeve) — is produced from composite elastomers with the highest resistance to abrasive and erosive wear.

Main Types of Flowrox (Larox) Valves

Pinch (Hose) Valves

This is a full-bore solution for tight shut-off of abrasive suspension and pulp flows. The design includes a cast body, a power actuator, and a replaceable elastic hose. When the actuator is activated, the hose is completely pinched, ensuring 100% tightness. In the open position, the valve does not create additional flow resistance. EV Group China recommends these valves for systems with operating pressures up to 10 MPa (100 bar), as the replacement of the wear sleeve is performed on-site, without removing the valve from the pipeline, which minimizes downtime.

Knife Gate Valves

A specialized type of valve designed for working with highly viscous media, concentrates, and sludges. The monolithic cast body and the knife made of high-alloy stainless steel guarantee bidirectional tightness. The design eliminates stagnant zones, and integrated flushing ports allow for effective cleaning of seals, which is critically important for working with crystallizing and sticking media.

Peristaltic (Hose) Pumps

Positive displacement pump units for precise dosing and pumping of viscous, abrasive, and chemically aggressive liquids. The operating principle is based on peristalsis (pinching of an elastic hose), which completely isolates the working medium from the mechanical parts of the pump. This ensures a long service life, absence of leaks, and high dosing accuracy.
