The JIS G3124 standard regulates the production of high-strength steel plates designed for the manufacture of boiler equipment and pressure vessels operating under excess pressure. A key feature of this rolled product is the strictly standardized yield strength (or 0.2% proof stress) in the temperature range from normal conditions up to 400 °C.
