JIS G3119 Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels

Technical Specifications and Scope of Application

The JIS G3119 standard defines the requirements for hot-rolled steel plates made from manganese-molybdenum and manganese-molybdenum-nickel alloys. The products supplied by EV Group China are intended for use in pressurized equipment, including steam boilers and industrial pressure vessels. These steel grades are not designed for cryogenic applications.

The range of nominal thicknesses for the steel plates is presented in the table below:

Steel GradeSBV 1 ASBV 1 BSBV 2SBV 3
Thickness range, mm6 – 1506 – 1506 – 1506 – 150

The chemical composition of the alloys provides high strength at elevated temperatures, which is critical for the reliability of boiler equipment. Controlling the carbon content based on plate thickness ensures optimal weldability and metal toughness.
