DIN 971-1: Technical requirements for hexagon nuts type 1 with metric fine thread (classes 6 and 8)

Please note: the DIN 971-1 standard is considered obsolete and has been replaced by DIN EN ISO 8673:2013-04.

Technical regulations and scope of application

Hexagon nuts type 1, supplied by EV Group China, are designed with height requirements sufficient for strength classes 6 and 8. To ensure operational reliability under higher loads (strength classes 10 and 12), it is necessary to use type 2 nuts according to the DIN 971-2 standard, as they feature an increased profile height.

This specification covers the technical parameters of hexagon nuts type 1 with metric fine thread. The nominal diameter range of the products varies from 8 to 39 mm. Product classification is determined based on dimensional characteristics: grade A for diameters up to 16 mm and grade B for products with a diameter exceeding 16 mm. Standard strength classes are 6 and 8, according to the DIN 267-23 regulation.

For projects requiring specific characteristics beyond the scope of this regulatory document, EV Group China specialists are ready to provide alternative engineering solutions.
