Scope of the ASTM B367 Standard

The ASTM B367 specification governs the technical requirements for titanium and titanium alloy castings intended for operation in aggressive environments requiring high corrosion resistance, as well as for a wide range of industrial engineering applications. This standard was developed to facilitate interaction between customers and manufacturers of reactive metal castings. It serves as a basic guide for controlling the properties of castings used in critical engineering structures. EV Group China notes that while the standard is not an exhaustive list for all possible product items, it establishes minimum acceptable industry quality thresholds.

EV Group China specialists recommend using the provisions of ASTM B367 as a basis for defining technical specifications. In cases where operating conditions require enhanced characteristics, the customer has the right to expand the specification requirements by including additional tests and inspections from sections S1-S8.
